CommentsScions cut from suckers of the original Delicious tree. There are more than 150 red-fruited and spur-growth mutations. Most important apple variety in U.S. Fruit: size large, 65-90 mm; skin 50-100% red, striped or blushed; shape conic; flesh firm, creamy white; flavor sweet aromatic; eating quality good; harvest season early October; storage life at -0.5C long, 6 months. Tree: medium yields, annual cropping.
