Analysis Name | Rubus L. subgenus Rubus Watson Genome v1.0 Assembly & Annotation |
Method | NECAT (0.0.1) |
Source | ONT and Hi-C reads |
Date performed | 2023-05-15 |
Summary:
The tetraploid genome assembly for thornless tetraploid blackberry selection BL1 (Rubus L. subgenus Rubus Watson) was generated using the Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) and Hi-C scaffolding, comprising 919 Mb placed on 27 pseudochromosomes with an N50 of 35.73 Mb. ONT data was assembled using NECAT/0.0.1. Gene prediction was performed using the BRAKER/v2 pipeline utilizing the transcriptome generated from RNA-Seq of thorny shoots, thornless shoots, leaves, green fruits, and publicly available RNA-Seq datasets for blackberry. RepeatMasker/4.1.1 was used for annotation of repetitive elements.
