Standardized Rosaceae Trait Terms, Rosaceae Trait Ontology, has been updated to be more general for Rosaceae crops, have better descriptions, and include more aliases.
These Trait terms are not associated with specific crop, method, or units but are used to associated similar QTLs and GWAS.

Efforts are underway to develop Crop Ontology for each crop that have specific methods and units. Strawberry CO are being actively developed and phenotype data from publications are being associated with it.
