ColumnDescription
* stock_namePrimary ID or name of stock. The most important ID or name (unique and stable at least within the breeding program) should be in this column. For mapping population, follow the naming convention of each database.
* stock_typeSelect from the three choices (accession, population or panel).
accession_typeTypes of an accession (breeding_research_material, cultivar, wild_unimproved, etc.). accession_type is required when the stock_type is accession.
* genusGenus to which the stock belongs to.
* speciesSpecies name. Enter 'sp.' to represent one unknown species, 'spp.' to represent multiple unknown species.
USDA_PIUSDA_PI in the GRIN database. Multiple USDA_PI, separated by comma or semi-colon, can be added.
institutional_nameInstitutional name(s). separated by comma or semi-colon, can be added.
subspeciesSubspecies name.
descriptionAny description for the stock.
secondary_IDAlternate ID or name that is commonly used to refer to the entry.
maternal_parentStock name of the maternal parnet. It must exist in stock table or listed in this sheet. If the organism of the parent and the child are different, add the organism as prefix of name of parent separated by double colon '::'. You need to add '#' to separate genus and species.
paternal_parentStock name of the paternal parnet. It must exist in stock table or listed in this sheet. If the organism of the parent and the child are different, add the organism as prefix of name of parent separated by double colon '::'. You need to add '#' to separate genus and species.
mutation_parentStock name of the mutation parent. It must exist in stock table or listed in this sheet. If the organism of the parent and the child are different, add the organism as prefix of name of parent separated by double colon '::'. You need to add '#' to separate genus and species.
selfing_parentStock name of the selfing parent. It must exist in stock table or listed in this sheet. If the organism of the parent and the child are different, add the organism as prefix of name of parent separated by double colon '::'. You need to add '#' to separate genus and species.
aliasAlias of a stock. Multiple aliases, separated by comma or semi-colon, can be added.
cultivarCultivar name if It is a named, cultivated variety.
pedigreeAny additional pedigree information: When the exact parents are not known, or any additional information beyond just parents (eg. Red-fruit sport of Jonathan, Pyrus sp. X Cydonia sp., etc.).
dataset_nameName of the dataset that cross belongs to. This is required if 'cross_number' is specified.
cross_numberCross number of a cross that generated the progeny; Must also be found in the Cross table.
advanced_to_2ndYes if it is advanced to 2nd phase, No otherwise. Leave it empty if the selection decision is yet to be made.
advanced_to_3rdYes if it is advanced to 3rd phase, No otherwise.
advanced_to_4thYes if it is advanced to 4th phase, No otherwise.
ploidyNumber of sets of chromosomes (e.g. 2x).
ploidy_equationEquation of the ploidy of the plant. Example 2n = 2x = YY.
origin_detailThe origin for the variety (especially for wild variety).
origin_countryThe original country for the variety (especially for wild variety).
population_sizeOnly for type 'population'.
germplasm_centerStock center or lab where the stock is distributed. Otherwise, provide the details of the contact person in contact column (from whom the material can be obtained) in the 'Contact' sheet.
commentsAny comments on the stock.
imageImage ID of any associated image (Detailed info in 'Image' sheet.) Multiple images, separated by comma, can be added.
referenceReference where the stock is originally described (pub_id), Multiple references, separated by comma, can be added.
##property_nameSpecial columns (##) : followed by name of the custom property.
